About Velocity Ventures
My name is Ben Posthuma.
I launched Velocity Ventures in 2021 after recognizing a simple but critical gap:

product leadership—precisely at the time when they need it most
Early product strategies shape not just the technology, but the trajectory of the entire business. Without clear direction, even promising innovations can lose momentum. Velocity Ventures was created to solve this problem: providing executive-level product leadership in a flexible model that meets companies where they are.
As the founder and principal, I bring more than two decades of experience leading at the intersection of technology and strategy. My career began as a U.S. Marine, where I learned the importance of building systems that work the first time because people’s lives depended on it. Since then, I’ve driven innovation across government labs, aerospace programs, and high-growth technology companies. Along the way I’ve earned numerous patents, built and launched multiple as-a-service platforms, and served in executive roles including Vice President of Product in the telecom sector, where I shaped 5G, IoT, and AI applications for enterprise adoption.
